MISSIONARIES:

Gary and Janet Smalling, Waterloo, Belgium

The Smalling’s are part of the pastoral team of the “church to all nations”. This local church is made up of people from over 50 nations ranging from refugees to Ambassadors. It is their privilege to be on the cutting edge of reaching souls for Jesus from several of the middle eastern nations. This past spring, they witnessed nine new believers follow our Lord in baptism coming out of islam; just this past month 9 more, and we are anticipating that many or more in a few months. God is touching people from all walks of life through this ministry.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

  • Pray for their protection from COVID-19
  • For direction & success in their ministry efforts,
  • For a special opening to those in the Islamic faith to be converted.

PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS:

Pray for brothers and sisters in Egypt. Many Egyptian Christians encounter substantial roadblocks to living out their faith. Particularly in rural areas in northern Egypt, Christians have been chased from villages, and subject to mob violence and intense familial and community pressure. This is even more pronounced for Christians who are converts from Islam.

In the face of huge economic, political, social and security challenges, the government of President el-Sisi seems to spare little regard for basic human rights and democratic pluralism. Thus, religious freedom for Christians is not fully guaranteed. Egyptian Christians are often victims of social exclusion, and face constant discrimination in areas such as justice, education, and basic social services. In rural areas, Christian women have been targeted for abduction and forced marriage.

LET US PRAY AS IF THIS WAS OUR OWN PERSECUTION!!
