Adam & Bethany Weatherly Missionaries to Spain
The Weatherly’s serve with Global University in Spain helping to train the next generation of church leaders. With the growing number of Assembly of God churches being planted in Spain, trained pastors are needed. Global University reaches church leaders through distance education where the local universities cannot. The Weatherly’s are in the US now itinerating, which is on hold.
The COVIS virus is devastating Spain. Bethany recently posted the following on their FB page. “As fear is beginning to take hold of many in our world concerning health, lets PRAY that the hearts of those who are gripped with fear will search for a Savior. Let’s pray that those who are facing their own mortality will open their hearts to God.”

Several missionaries I have emailed share that they are experiencing discouragement, being unable to plan and with the future uncertain.
PRAYER REQUESTS:
- Pray for Spain that the pandemic would cause them to be open to Christ
- They specifically asked us to pray that they stay encouraged
- Pray that they can get the support they need to go back to Spain
- Pray for protection of our brothers and sisters ministering in Spain
PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS:
Pray for our brothers & sisters around the world affected by the pandemic
This puts more pressure on already stressed believers. The potential spread of the disease among refugees and displaced populations could be catastrophic. Many of these groups, which include persecuted believers, have no financial safety net and poor medical resources.
In Turkey, many persecuted families are Iranian converts from Islam. These new believers fled Iran after being imprisoned or tortured due to their faith. Now, Turkish locals blame them for the spread of the coronavirus. The Turkish government has cut off all assistance, and many Christians have lost their employment.
LET US PRAY AS IF THIS WAS OUR OWN PERSECUTION!!
