MISSIONARIES:
PRAY FOR FARI LEE RIDER, MISSIONARY TO TAIWAN
Fari Lee, sister of our own Barbara Powers, has ministered in Taiwan for over 25 years. Her ministry work has included many avenues including pastoring, television ministry, and teaching English at mission schools. Fari leads a group called “Children’s Lane.” This ministry leads kids crusades, and she is able to minister in some public schools. PRAYER REQUESTS:
- Fari recently has had problem with her hip and had over 75 shots. Pray for her healing
- Pray for her upcoming Christmas crusade
- Pray for more opportunities to minister in the public schools
PERSECUTED BROTHERS AND SISTERS:
PRAY FOR PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS IN NORTH KOREA
- North Korea is identified as the country with the most severe persecution of Christians. If Christians are discovered, not only are they deported to labor camps as political criminals or even killed on the spot, their families will share their fate. Meeting other Christians in order to worship is almost impossible, and if some believers dare to, it has to be done in utmost secrecy. It’s hard to imagine how the persecution on Christianity could get any worse, but a watchdog group reports it is worsening as Presidents Trump and Kim meet. Human rights groups point out that North Korea’s human rights record is notably missing from the summit agenda. PRAYER REQUESTS:
- Pray for the safety of the small Christian groups in N Korea
- Pray that ongoing negotiations will lead to more freedom, and spread of the gospel
- Pray for the Christians who at times risk their lives to minister to N Korean Christians
- Pray for Christians to be protected from the drought
- Pray for the spread of the Gospel even under severe persecution
