Dave Mewbourne serves as our Lead Pastor. Prior to becoming Lead Pastor in February of 2003, he served as Youth Pastor at Claremore Assembly for one year. He has been in ministry for thirty six years, serving churches in Alabama, Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the Oklahoma District as Youth Alive Representative prior to coming to Claremore. He currently also serves as a presbyter for the Tulsa section of the Oklahoma District and a chaplain for the Claremore Police Department.
He met his wife, Debbie, while attending Evangel University in Springfield, MO. They both graduated from Evangel in 1980. Debbie is a Nurse Practitioner at St. Francis Cancer Center in Tulsa, OK. Their son Kraig is a middle school teacher in the Skiatook, OK school system. He and his wife Gloria have two boys, Ridge, Silas, and a daughter named Shiloh. His daughter Kacie works with Kindred and has blessed Pastor Dave & Debbie with two granddaughters, Mabry-Ellen, and Clara Jane.
Pastor Dave loves serving the Claremore community, occasionally plays golf and is an avid Alabama football fan.
